Strict Compliance with Socio-Environmental Safeguard Measures

By November 6th, 2019 in Component II

78 environmental and social screening have been carried out so far. This happened before the beginning of the implementation of business plans.

12 beneficiary municipalities were subjected to socio-environmental screening. There were four in each of the regions concerned, except of the North: the Far North, Adamawa and the East as well as zoo-technical and sanitary intervention parks or solar-powered boreholes. Its purpose was to assess the possible negative impact of pastoral infrastructure on people and the environment.

Fauna and flora will not be damaged in any way, at least not on an alarming scale. There is no real threat to the lives of men and women. On the contrary, community pastoral constructions provide solutions to daily life problems between the populations and their animals. 10 environmental impact notices, EINs, are already developed. They are all accompanied by Environmental Compliance Certificates, ECCs.
