“A Kind of Poverty Alleviation’’

By April 22nd, 2021 in Component I, Newsletter

“I received three cows. They are hosted in Maroua. The milk produced is bought by SOTRALAIT. The other objective is to create jobs for women and private individuals. The farm has four employees. The watchman is a key staff. A veterinarian is in charge of health monitoring. The salesman has been delivering. The milker is the operating agent for the dairy cows. The Livestock Development Project, PRODEL, has given us a milking machine. No one can doubt the significant contribution of this project to the increase of milk production in the Far North region, in the broad sense, and in Maroua, in particular. It goes without saying that my family will also enjoy that growth. This is a form of poverty alleviation. We are grateful to the government. Even the World Bank is being thanked”.
